Associate Partner
Stuart spent eleven years as a Naval Officer, following which he pursued his passion for sport by moving into the sporting industry, through a role with Rugby WA. Over the subsequent years, Stuart has built a stellar career within that sector, initially in community sport then event and venue management. More recently, Stuart has developed his skills in sporting infrastructure and major project management, showcasing this expertise through his contribution to the construction of the Perth (Optus) Stadium project.
Reflecting his longstanding commitment to ‘grass roots’, on completion of the Optus Stadium project, Stuart was the State Infrastructure Manager – WA for Cricket Australia. In this role, Stuart worked closely with local governments and community cricket clubs for the development of their cricket related infrastructure requirements. Stuart managed the delivery of the Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund in Western Australia, investing over $850,000 in nearly 50 community projects delivering projects to a value of $19.6M.
For the last three years, Stuart has been utilising his years of experience in the industry as a consultant, collaborating with local governments, professional sporting clubs and state sporting associations on the strategic development of community sporting facilities and infrastructure including the redevelopment of the East Fremantle Oval Precinct, the redevelopment of Fremantle Oval, the review and update of the Shire of Broome Sport and Recreation Plan and a suite of projects for the Shire of Harvey.
Stuart possesses a Graduate Diploma in Business (Sports Management) from Edith Cowan University. Stuart brings to this project detailed understanding of community facilities with major infrastructure project experience.
