Ross Love
Associate Partner
Ross Love is an independent senior consultant based in Australia. He retired from The Boston Consulting Group in 2018 after a 25 year career where he was a senior partner and during which time he led the company’s global Travel and Tourism Practice, the Australia and New Zealand business and ultimately BCG’s New York Office – the largest in its global network.
Most recently, between September 2018 and March 2019, Ross acted as Senior Advisor to the Chairman, Minderoo Group (Andrew Forrest), and among other things was involved in the strategic planning and set-up of Global Rapid Rugby, a new and innovative Asian focused rugby competition.
Ross has extensive consulting experience across many industries, including the airline industry where he led one of BCG’s largest and longest running client relationships and BCG’s global airline practice. Ross also led major relationships in urban rail, grocery and apparel retail, and organization transformation. He has extensive experience in driving change at the strategic, organizational and operational levels.
Prior to joining BCG, Ross was actively involved in the public sector, including as the Chief of Staff to the Premier of Western Australia between 1990 and 1993. He has a graduate degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School and an undergraduate degree in politics and history from the University of Western Australia.

Ross is committed to solving complex problems and getting to complete answers on assignments, rather than merely fulfilling a brief. He also values developing recommendations and approaches to implementation that are agreed upon and understood by all stakeholders. Such are thoughtfully, and successfully, executed and monitored.
He is currently a member of the WA Government Regional Trust Board and in February 2020 was appointed Chairman of the Fremantle Port Authority.
Ross has a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Politics from the University of Western Australia, a Masters of Public Administration from Harvard University, and has completed further business studies at the London Business School. He was a Harkness Fellow for Australia in 1986.
Beyond his commercial activities, Ross has maintained an active involvement in public interest issues throughout his career, including a deep interest in indigenous engagement and development in Australia. Ross has served on the board of Jawun, a national organisation promoting partnerships between the corporate sector and progressive Indigenous leaders and organisations, based in East Kimberly. He is also the Chairman of Hopeland, a New York Foundation inspired by Debora-lee Furness and Hugh Jackman that promotes and supports the rights and better community and family care for children around the world.
