Mick is a leader who puts a vision into action. With extensive experience in spearheading strategy and implementing operational programs across diverse industries such as sports, events, education, and facility maintenance, Mick stands out for his exceptional leadership and insightful stakeholder management.
During his impressive 15-year tenure in education, Mick reached a pinnacle by establishing the SEDA Sports Development Program in Western Australia. Here, he cultivated robust partnerships with elite sporting clubs, educational institutions and government stakeholders, resulting in a remarkable 400% growth in student numbers within the program's first four years.
In 2017, Mick seamlessly transitioned into the Sport & Recreation industry. As the Head of Business Development, he authored and executed compelling business cases and operational plans for the Bankwest Club and Stadium Tours Program at Optus Stadium, exceeding revenue targets and surpassing visitor expectations during the stadium’s first year of events.
Since then, Mick has continued to apply his strategic business development acumen to roles within rugby, netball and facility maintenance. His focus on business process improvement has consistently elevated operational output, ensuring the achievement of strategic objectives. Armed with an MBA from Curtin University, Mick brings a unique blend of strong analytical and problem-solving skills, complementing his high-performance approach to leading project teams.
